Sarah and Tim were married on June 9th at First Congregational Church of Saugatuck where Sarah is the Reverend. It was a day like no other, I had so much fun experiencing this couples’s joy! The ceremony was my favorite part, Sarah’s best friends from seminary officiated and Sarah and Tim washed each other’s feet. Here are just a few of my favorite images from the best day of their lives!
Sarah & Tim did a first look at the Historical Parsonage across the street from the church.
What is your engagement story?
“Tim popped the question on the top of Mt. Baldhead in Saugatuck! He had a whole romantic day planned for us. We started at the church, then took the chain ferry across the river and up the mountain we went. We talked quite a bit about how we came down the mountain changed people 🙂 Family was waiting for us at the Southerner where we all had lunch and mimosas. We ended up scrapping the rest of the events of the day in favor of calling our friends and family!”
The wedding party and parents prayed together before the ceremony.
What is your favorite memory from your wedding?
Our favorite memory of the day was walking out of the church to the toll of bells, announcing us to the world, while we watched our loved ones shooting off confetti cannons!! It was an amazing moment.
How will you describe the feeling you had on your wedding day?
“Elation, nerves, a sense of accomplishment, joy at seeing friends and family, a sense of readiness to start our live together. It was an absolute roller coaster of emotions! Whenever I officiate a wedding I always tell the bride that every braincell you have is going to fall out of you head on your wedding day, you just have to lean on your loved ones around you and enjoy the ride. Turns out.. that was SO true! I let my community carry me through the wedding day.”
All the best in your new life Sarah & Tim!
